One of the best things about Dayton has been the great parks. There are over 25 in the area. We only made it to three so far but the one I like the best so far is Sugar Creek. Eric loves that the parks have such a dense forest and that the parks aren't all perfectly manicured.
This tree is over 500 years old. It is one of the Three Sisters. I am the small orange speck next to the three. The second sister tree is over my shoulder and the third actually fell over in a wind storm but they have left it there. You can hike down and see into the tree.
This the other part that this park is known for. There is a huge line of trees that were planted to be a fence for a farm back when Ohio was the edge of civilization. It is a really pretty hike that takes about thirty minutes. The only problem was that is was ridiculously hot and muggy. It was a good work out and a very pretty walk.
