This morning at about 5:30 Eric and I both woke up to the smell of something burning. We shut off the air conditioner, opened the windows and looked around for the source. We could find nothing. After a few minutes of having the windows open we could still smell the burning smell so we called the non emergency number for the fire department. Well they sent over two big trucks (one even had a ladder) and sent 4 guys in full gear up to our apartment. They could smell it too once they got in and thought it was coming from the closet with the heater/air conditioner in it. Well that closet is locked so we called our manager but the firefighters decided to take the door off the hinges to get in. After all of the drama it turns out that the motor was burned out on the air conditioner. So now our manager has to fix our air, and hopefully fast it is humid today.
