The month of July so far

Okay I promise we are doing well and that Baltimore is not mistreating us.

First off, Eric is enjoying his rotation at the VA. He has had the chance to work with one of the best doctors in podiatry and also to work at a club foot clinic which most students don't get the chance to do. The only down side to the program is they pay pretty low because it is a VA but living expenses in Baltimore are pretty high. Also there is a lot of travel to other hospitals.

As for me I am working my Mary Kay business and enjoying the chance it gives me to meet new people and also make some extra money. As for the two of us together we have enjoyed the fun things Baltimore has to offer. On the 4th we went to a park near our house to watch the fireworks in the harbor. The park is what is left of an old Fort that helped defend Baltimore in the War of 1812 and the Civil War.

Last weekend we managed to find a fun free film festival. There is a part of town known as Little Italy and every Friday night they show an Italian themed movie on the side of a restaurant with free popcorn. Last Friday was the movie "Tea with Mussolini". It was a good movie though it took me a while to put all the pieces together. On Saturday night we went to an Orioles game. It was a good game even though the Orioles lost. When we got there we put our names in a drawing for a free car and got free t-shirts and then at the game the first 25,000 people got free t-shirts. They were supposed to give out free jerseys but they couldn't get them in time so now we have vouchers to get the free jerseys when they come in. Eric and I decided we might need to be fans now that we have so many t-shirts.

Next Saturday we are planning another trip down to DC and then we might stop at a beach. It is hard to believe we have already been in Baltimore more than two weeks.
