Harrisburg PA

We had two reasons to make a stop at Harrisburg. One was we have really good friends who just moved there because that is where he is starting his residency. Second Eric is also interested in the program and wanted a chance to visit. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed visiting with our friends. Eric tried to go in and visit the program but with new residents just coming in he wasn't able to really do much so we will have to stop back by.

While we were there we went over to Hershey, PA and toured Chocolate World. I was so tempted to eat and buy chocolate like crazy but I decided to be good. We did get free miniature chocolate bars so that was helpful.  It is very tempting to be surrounded by all of the chocolate and not to eat anything. Part of the experience is a ride that you go on that explains how chocolate is made. One the ride they have cows that sing. I thought they were pretty cute.

Eric and I also took the chance to go explore a little bit by ourselves and found City Island.

The island is where the triple A baseball team, soccer team and such play. It also has a paddle boat for tours, kayaks, and other fun family activities.  It felt really good to be out walking around after so many days of sitting before that.

It was relaxing couple of days and it was great to be with friends again.
