Florida Days 1-3

Eric and I had the great privilege to go to Florida with Eric's family and then my parents were able to join us. Eric's family went down on Friday night and then we joined them on Saturday morning. Saturday involved checking in to the condos, going shopping and making dinner. That night we watched the REAL soccer game.

On Sunday we headed to Sacrament meeting and then over to the temple. Eric's maternal grandparents served as missionaries in the Orlando Temple when it first opened. That night we had FHE and watched Soul Surfer. Bethany Hamilton had taught surfing on Biggest Loser a few weeks ago. Austin was super excited to see the part where she got her arm bit off. That was his favorite part about the whole movie.

Monday was a bit of a crazy day. My parents were flying in and I got confused about which airport they were flying into and it ended up causing a lot of driving for everyone. In the end it was all okay but a bit of a blunder. Eric and I spent the day with my parents while Eric's family went to Gatorland. Monday night Eric's cousin and his wife joined us for a BBQ. Eric loves to grill and at our apartment we are not allowed to have a grill. He made very yummy chicken and asparagus. There was a sand volleyball court and we decided to play volleyball with a giant beach ball. This thing was about three feet in diameter. The wind would catch it every so often and it would just stall above the net. It was a fun activity and it caused a lot of laughs.
