Camping in PA

Eric and I decided to go camping this last weekend since the weather was going to be great and we actually didn't have anything planned for Saturday which is amazing. Eric picked a state park in PA outside of Gettysburg because he wanted to hike on the Appalatian Trail and there was a chance that friends from Harrisburg were going to joining us. The state park is just five miles down the road from where the camp is that the church bought for girls camp. Our GPS got us way lost and we spent an extra hour driving around the back woods of PA. Once we got to the campground it was pitch black but we managed to get the tent set up and a fire going. We enjoyed a night of roasted hot dogs and smores. The next morning Eric made breakfast before we packed up to go camping.

On the tent pad next to ours someone had built this arch that I thought was really cool looking.

Once we got on the trail we had a good time hiking and seeing the beautiful scenery. I tend to follow Eric so I am not the best at finding the trail markers. This time I asked Eric to let me go first so I could learn how to find the trail and lead. Eric took a picture of the view that he had for most of the day. I don't think he minded. :)
